The fastest way to get help is our Discord support server. Before you ask, check Troubleshooting and the FAQ: most problems have a quick fix there.

Join the support server#

Join the Discord Buddy support server to ask questions, report bugs and follow announcements about updates. /help in any server with Buddy also shows the link.

  • command text, optional — Look up one command, e.g. "rank" or "xp leaderboard".

What to include in your message#

A good report gets a fix much faster. Please include:

IncludeWhyHow to find it
Your server IDSo we can look at the right server. In Discord, turn on User Settings → Advanced → Developer Mode, then right-click your server icon → Copy Server ID.
The feature and pageSo we know where to look. For example "Welcome messages" or "Ticket system".
What you did and what you expectedSo we can reproduce it.Step by step: "Saved a welcome message, a member joined, nothing posted".
The exact error textIt usually names the cause.Copy the Error message from the dashboard, or Buddy's reply in Discord.
Bot errors entriesBuddy logs what it couldn't do.Dashboard home → Bot errors: copy the Feature, Error and Details.
ScreenshotsThey show settings at a glance.Crop out anything private.
Never share your secrets

Don't post your Discord password or a bot token in a support message. If you use a custom bot, keep its token private: anyone with it can control your bot.

Report a server listing#

If a server in the directory breaks the rules, open its page and click Report this listing at the bottom of the side panel. You need to be logged in. Tell our admins what to review (up to 500 characters). You can only have one open report per listing.

Ban appeals#

The Discord Buddy team can't unban you from someone else's server. Bans and appeals are handled by each server's own staff. If the server has ban appeals turned on, log in and open its listing page to find the Ban appeal button. Server owners can set this up with Ban appeals.

Billing questions#

Most billing actions (changing plan, cancelling, refunds, receipts, updating your card) are on Account → My Premium. See Billing & subscriptions. If a cancellation or refund gets stuck, ask in the support server and mention it's a billing question.

Privacy and data requests#

To ask about your data, or to request access, correction or deletion, use the contact details in the Privacy Policy's Contact Us section. You don't need an account. We may ask you to confirm details (for example, by replying from your Discord account's email address) before acting on a request.
